About Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are injectables that add volume beneath the skin to smooth folds and restore contour. At La Jolla Laser Derm they are used for thin lips, lines around the mouth, severe creases or parentheses lines, volume loss in the cheeks and under the eyes, and jawline and chin definition. Most are hyaluronic acid gels: Juvederm from Allergan, Restylane and Restylane Kysse from Galderma, and Revanesse Versa+ from Prollenium. Radiesse from Merz is calcium hydroxylapatite and Sculptra from Galderma is poly-L-lactic acid; both stimulate collagen.
Depending on the product and area, results last from 6 months to 2 years. Lip filler is a way to make your lips more shapely and contoured.
