Juvederm

What is Juvederm?
Juvederm is a group of dermal fillers containing hyaluronic acid in the form of a transparent gel that is injectable and is FDA approved. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that is naturally present in the skin that helps the skin maintain it’s texture, volume, and suppleness. Designed for adults above the age of 21, Juvederm can address the loss of volume in the cheek region that may be age-related.
Juvéderm Vollure™ XC injectable gel is used to smooth out folds and wrinkles on the face. For lip augmentation, where filling of lips and the perioral area is concerned, Juvéderm Vollure™ XC and Juvéderm® Ultra XC have been used by our medical professionals with excellent results.
What can I expect?
We evaluate each patient in detail taking into consideration their medical history, allergic background and the nature and extent of facial wrinkles, folds or volume related concerns. From this, we tailor an exact course of treatment to address the areas of difficulty and enabling the successful restoration of facial skin.
Some side effects can include redness at the site of injections, bruising, swelling, itching or tenderness. Most Juvederm side effects are mild in nature and short-lived, usually resolving in 7 days or less.
What are the results of Juvederm?
The results of Juvederm injections can be long lasting while the treatments themselves take minimal time, between 15 minutes to an hour. The results are usually visible immediately and last for up to two years depending on which particular formula of Juvederm is used.
